About Us

Our story

We launched 32 below Shaved Ice & More in Douglas, Wyoming, opening in early June 2026, but work behind the scenes began almost 2 years earlier.

The owners, Daniel and Kaylee, are from Cheyenne, where there were usually shaved ice vendors set up in certain spots all summer, selling very high quality shaved ice. It was above and beyond the snow cones we remembered as kids; it was softer, better flavored, and had more customization options like cream, sour spray, and even adding candy into the mix.

In Douglas, we would try to find something similar every year, but without much luck. There were a few snow cone trucks in Douglas WY, but not anyone doing shaved ice. Sometimes when out of town food trucks came to Douglas for a special event, we would find one selling the style of premium shaved ice we were missing. It wasn’t something predictable or easily available throughout the summer. So we finally decided to start our own shaved ice business.

We researched for a year. We studied every ice shaver / snow cone machine on the market for comparison, to decide which one would give us the softest ice. We studied the process of freezing ice blocks correctly, so they stay intact while they’re shaved. We researched dozens of different brands of snow cone syrups, and what kind of different flavors they offered. We researched ideal trailer sizes, optimal configurations, and what we would need to look for.

Then we started testing. We found the perfect ice shaver and started practicing with it, perfecting the art of getting consistent soft shaved ice out of it every time. We ordered dozens of flavor samples from different snow cone syrup brands, taking notes, and starting to build our future menu. We compared different types of sugar for our syrup manufacturing. We tested five different recipes for sour spray, and seven different recipes for cream topping, before we found the perfect results.

We drove to Dallas, Texas, where we met a wonderful couple who sold us their first shaved ice trailer. We spent several months of work cleaning up the trailer, removing the old wrap and painting it. We designed it to be the most eye-catching, shaved ice trailer we could think of, with bright colors and our logo clearly visible.

The preparation took 2 years, and in June of 2026, it all paid off. We finally got to stop the preparation, stop the planning, and actually do what we wanted to do in the first place: Set up by the side of the road and sell the highest quality shaved ice you can find in Douglas, or anywhere nearby!
